Class Emails List

As a professor, you may sometimes want a full list of your class members' YCP email addresses. This can be especially useful to share a file or folder with your class in Google Drive, invite them all to an event in Google Calendar, or send them all something through Gmail. You can also email your class through Canvas or YCPWeb.

Select your LMS below to learn how to extract class email addresses from it.

Canvas

  • Log into ycp.instructure.com.
  • Select your preferred course.
  • Select the New Analytics button.
    • This is on the right or the bottom of the screen, depending on your device.
  • Select the ↓ button.
    • AKA Download CSV, when you hover over it.
  • This will download a spreadsheet of your class roster. Open it.
  • Copy & paste all email addresses from the email column into the sharing settings of whatever application you're using.

Moodle

  • Log into moodle.ycp.edu.
  • Select your preferred course.
  • From the menu, select Grades.
  • Select the Grader Report dropdown menu > Export Excel Spreadsheet.
  • Under Grade items to be included, select Select all/none, if you just wish to download contact info.
    • You're welcome to select grade items as well, but it's not necessary to get the email list.
  • Select Download.
  • This will download a spreadsheet of your class roster. Open it.
  • Copy & paste all email addresses from the email column into the sharing settings of whatever application you're using.
