One Button Studio

Located in the Schmidt Library, YCP's One Button Studio is a simplified recording studio that requires just the touch of a button (and a thumb drive!). The studio allows you to do presentations, interviews, do demonstrations, use the whiteboard, or stand in front of your PowerPoint while you talk. Then One Button may be the choice for you!

Getting Started

    1. Reserve the Room
      • You should book a time in advance. We suggest in 1 hour increments. Faculty and students can reserve the room using 25 Live Room Booking System . The room is open during library hours. For more information on library hours check out the Library website.
    2. Bring everything you need: Flash Drive with 1GB or more of Free Space
    3. Visit the Main Desk in the Library for access to the Room on your reserved date and time.

Creating Your Video

    1. Insert your flash drive into the USB hub. This will turn on the studio lights and camera.
    2. When you are ready to record, press the large silver button. You will have a 5 second countdown before recording officially begins.
    3. When you are finished, press the button again to stop recording.
    4. You will want to wait a few moments for your file to be written to your flash drive before removing it.
    5. Remove your flash drive from the USB hub. The studio lights will turn off. Your recording is saved to your flash drive as an .mp4 file that you can upload to ilos for closed captioning.
